🌟 A huge shoutout to our amazing CHS Orchestra Director, Ms. Alma Garcia, for Leading the Way with Instructional Technology! 🎶👏 This morning, orchestra students from Cigarroa and Nixon High Schools connected virtually via Google Meet, using the Swivl Robot to record their session. They collaborated on a UIL Rubric Pre-Assessment Google Form, exchanged UIL repertoire performances, and showcased their sight-reading skills. Through online feedback, both students and directors fostered a dynamic, tech-powered learning experience. Our very own beautiful CHS Library was the host for the District's Monthly Librarian Meeting as they ended their Read Across America Week. 📚The librarians were empowered through the awesome technology training presented by Mrs. Sepulveda and staff from the LISD IT Dept.Our wonderful CHS Librarian, Ms. Patricia R. Sosa, treated the librarians to some delicious breakfast and savory lunch made by our very own CHS Cocinita Students. A big shout out of thanks to our CHS Administrators, Director of Library Media Services, Mrs. Paez, her assistant, Mrs. Rubio, Secondary Librarians, CHS Library Clerk-Ms. Sanchez, CHS Library Club, DLS- Ms. Zapata, Custodial staff-Ms. Moreno & Mr. Vedia, and Cocinita Chef Mr. Cavazos. It was an excellent way to begin our Spring Break!☀️💙

Thank you to all the parents who participated in our virtual Parent Technology Training session! During the session, attendees learned how to keep their families safe while using the internet and social media. They also explored community resources available to support their children's online safety. 💻🏡👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Our CHS teachers, administrators, and librarian are Leading the Way with Technology! Recently, they participated in an engaging Clear Touch Basics training session at the CHS Library. During the training, our educators explored the various tools and apps available on the Clear Touch interactive board and learned how to create dynamic lessons that enhance student engagement.💙💻🤩

LISD is celebrating Texas Public School Week! LISD is opening its 20 elementary and four middle schools for parents and guardians to visit on Wednesday, February 26, from 8:30 a.m., to 11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Report cards will be issued at LISD elementary schools.
